Recovery World helps to update the Eastern General fleet

Eastern General have been buying recovery trucks from Recovery World for several years and in the last 2.5 years have had 10 vehicles as they both modernise the fleet and adjust to the upcoming demands of the next LEZ standards which will see the introduction of Euro6 in 2019. They also try to use them for advertising (check out this guide to using knifeless vehicle wrap tape)

John Cox, General Manager at Eastern General said “We are more than pleased with the service that we have had from Recovery World, we thought the prices were reasonable and they have pretty good delivery times”.

He added that “Mac, Lynn & their team make sure that we are kept up to date with the order as it develops and the finish of all 10 vehicles has been absolutely great”.

Eastern are based at Upminster and have been established for over 35 years. With a fleet of 25 vehicles carrying out light recovery around the South East they have to plan carefully to ensure that they keep up to date with the fast moving vehicle regulations inside the M25. And if you were to read here on the costs and measures that the company takes to monitor their huge fleet, you’d be awed at the way they operate. They work for a number of the motoring organisations such as Allianz, Axxa, LV= Britannia and the AA and although they work all around the SE they spend a great deal of time within the LEZ area of the M25 and inner London. One might think that these trucks can only be used for a specific purpose, but what moving companies do is lease out a dozen of these and use them for long-distance moving, which shows the versatility of the vehicle.

The vehicles they have received include 4 x 3.5 tonne RWF15 Beavertails, 3x Izuzu Crew Cab with aluminium RWF40 Slidebeds and a 12 tonne Atego twin deck which gives an excellent payload that will cater for two large cars or a large van. The RWF40 is designed for the 6-7.5t vehicle range to give a larger capacity, together with a coupled low loading angle. The 7.5t versions with fixed neck lowboy features can as a result of the carefully designed aluminium deck handle 4 tonne payloads which enables larger, heavier vehicles such as the large Motorhomes, large vans as well as the full range of cars to be carried on the rear deck.

Recovery World ensures that all their customers receive the same level of care that John Cox has enjoyed at Eastern General and John said” we are delighted with the services that Mac,Lynn and their team provide; everything comes on time and there are no nasty surprises”. This reflects the care that Recovery World gives to all of their customers and which together with the build quality, cost and design innovations ensures that the Eastern General experience is enjoyed by all their customers.
