"D & G Cars makes exclusive commitment to Recovery World"
Press Release - November 08

The long-standing relationship between D & G Cars and Recovery World has been cemented even further with the news that D & G will use Recovery World exclusively to buy, and sell, all their new and used vehicles.

“We’ve been working with Recovery World for a number of years now,” says D & G Managing Director, Dennis Harding, “and over that time we’ve built up a great deal of trust, so much so that they have keys to our secure storage areas where they can organise viewings and so on without us needing to be involved. As well as dealing with every aspect of the sale or purchase they now also handle all financial transactions on our behalf. So strong is the relationship between us now that even if people approach us direct we always refer them straight back to Mac Engledew at Recovery World,” Dennis adds.

Among recent sales Recovery World have made on D & G’s behalf are eight vehicles from Mondial Assistance (when they decided to pack up recovery operations), while they also sold 5 more vehicles just in the last few weeks. There are certain to be many, many more, all ultimately down to the exceptional quality of service Recovery World provides and for which it is renowned throughout the industry.

"Great CARS Recovery growth relies on Recovery World"
Press Release - November 08

Aberdeen-based entrepreneur, Harry Patterson, acquired CARS Recovery less than a year ago, expanded the recovery fleet from 8 to 22 vehicles and the workforce from 8 to over 25 and bought out his main competitor – and he’s only 20! “I’ve had a great deal of help, advice and support from my father, Mark Patterson, who’s Chairman of CARS Recovery,” Harry points out, “but even so the running of the business – and its success! - is now definitely down to me. I was offered the opportunity after I graduated in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University and I grasped it with both hands. Being thrown in at the deep end was a tremendous challenge but it was the only way I could quickly get a grasp of everything I needed to do.”

”We have an exceptional client base here in north-east Scotland, including the AA, RAC, Mondial and Green Flag as well as Grampian Police,” says Harry. That gives us about 85% of the market around here, reckoned to be around 3,000 call-outs a month. But to service this market successfully we have to have quality vehicles that are 100% reliable.”

“That’s one of several reasons why we buy the majority of our trucks - many of them brand new - through Recovery World, and they’ve certainly done everything we’ve asked, and more! They keep decent stock levels of new vehicles, with anything from 3.5ton to 10ton GVW, so when there’s a particular new truck we need we don’t have to wait for it. Their prices are very competitive, while the build quality of every vehicle we’ve bought from them has been excellent,”adds Harry.

“All you have to do with Recovery World is ring them up and then do the rest. You can imagine how busy we are with business expanding at the present rate, so the more we can rely on them to build or source and supply our trucks the better.”

“We have built up a relationship of real trust with Recovery World, so much so that we now buy without even viewing, we totally trust their judgment, their professional knowledge and their honesty in being able to source the right vehicles for us at the right price. Long may it continue.”

CSG Recovery trucks are out of this world!
Press Release - September 08

Anyone breaking down or being involved in an accident in the Peterborough area could well see a superhero or other sci-fi star coming to their rescue in the shape of a CSG Recovery truck. Because superheroes are the theme of Eddy Hemmaway’s 20 vehicle fleet. Over half the vehicles are already entirely decked out with classic characters like Spiderman, Iron Man and Yoda from Star Wars, while the rest will be completed shortly, each vehicle depicting a different character or blockbuster film. “We love our vehicles and we like to give each of them their own personality, as well as creating a striking presence on the road. The next one will feature Batman,” says Eddy.

So why does Eddy do it? Is he a mad Sci-Fi movie fan or secret Trekkie? “Not really,” he says, “although like most kids I used to love Superman and other superheroes when I was younger. Seeing our vehicles not only gives people a smile…important in this day and age…but the drivers love it, too. It gives them something to talk about. And if a driver has a particular superhero favourite we’ll put that on his truck.”

“So many people comment on the images… the work of a local signwriter, while the vehicles are all sourced from Recovery World. I buy my vehicles through them simply because I know I’m going to get the right truck at the right price, with little effort on my part. All I do is tell Recovery World what I want then rely on them to come up with the goods…which they always do. They’ve never let me down yet.”

“We entered trucks in the Peterborough Truck Fest in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 and each time we won our class not only because of their incredibly striking appearance but also their overall quality. If you’re buying through a reliable source like Recovery World then quality is what you’re going to get,” Eddy adds.

Eddy Hemmaway can be contacted on 01733 202422 or eddy@csgrecovery.com for more information.

Spiderman is not currently available for comment!

“RRS recovers with Recovery World help”
Press Release - September 08

At the beginning of 2007 RRS Recovery seemed doomed almost before it got off the ground! Their sole recovery truck, a Mercedes 814 tri-loader, was stolen within days of them setting up the business in December 2006. Fortunately the close-knit recovery community immediately came to the rescue!

Many recovery operators kept a look out, while spreading the word about the theft. And Recovery World publicised details of the stolen vehicle on their highly popular website, free of charge. As a result the police found the vehicle in just three days!

“Fortunately the truck was back on the road pretty quickly, enabling us to stay in business,” says Anthony Sparrow, co-owner of RRS along with his wife, Becky. “Since then we’ve been working very hard to develop the business – based in York city centre - and, as a result, we now operate a fleet of eight recovery vehicles and two service vans. Two of the vehicles are ‘heavies’ so we can recover everything from motor bikes to 44t commercials and PSVs,” Anthony points out. “We bought all of them through Recovery World, and it must be said that the quality of their service and the vehicles they sourced on our behalf really helped us to get to where we are today. As a result Recovery World are now our regular vehicle suppliers!”

“We simply can’t fault the Recovery World service…they are always there on the end of the phone any time of day or night (or so it seems!) and they’re totally reliable. In fact we have now built up such a level of trust that we bought our past two trucks ‘sight unseen.’ We just rang Recovery World, told them what we wanted and they did the rest. Needless to say the vehicles they came up with were perfect for our needs…and at the right price!”

“We’re now main agents for Green Flag, Mondial, Britannia Rescue and a number of other major organisations in the York area, with business still growing rapidly as a result. So we simply don’t have the time to source recovery vehicles, view them, sort out the paperwork and so on. We rely on Recovery World to do all that for us…and we’ll continue to do so for the foreseeable future.”

“Recovery World gets it white for T J Recovery!”
Press Release - August 08

When your company livery is basically white, it saves a lot of time, effort and money on re-spraying if someone can source the right, white vehicles for you. Tim Lynch, of Blackburn-based TJ Recovery, trusted the task to Recovery World.

“I phoned Recovery World, explained what I wanted and left them to it. Within a couple of days they had found the right vehicles, checked them over, sorted out the price and arranged for me to see them. I bought them on the spot…done deal, all within a week. And that’s not just a one-off!…it’s the same every time you deal with Recovery World. They’re always there for you at the end of the phone and they make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

SThat’s why we’ll continue to use them. We’re only a small family business, we have 16 staff in total and we’re very busy. Having someone we can totally trust to source the right vehicles and handle the entire buying process is a real blessing,” adds Tim.

Press Release -June 08

Recovery World offers the largest selection of new and used recovery vehicles for sale in Europe. Through the twin elements of its business - new build and vehicle brokering - Recovery World serves new and used vehicle needs across the entire recovery industry, and the whole of the UK. Wherever you are in the country you can rely on Recovery World.

The company maintains a high profile through regular coverage in the recovery industry press (also advertising in many publications outside the recovery sector), the high daily ‘hit’ rate of its very popular website at www.recoveryworld.co.uk and word-of-mouth recommendation. Most people in the industry are aware of Recovery World and what the company does!

The answer is ‘Yes’ every time! Recovery World covers the entire UK which does, of course, include Northern Ireland as well as the Irish Republic. So Recovery World disposes of vehicles for customers anywhere from the Isle of Wight to the Isle of Skye, Colchester to Carlisle, Bodmin to Belfast and Aberystwyth to Aberdeen. Wherever they are, they can still expect the standards of customer service and care on which Recovery World has built its reputation.

"These thieves would have killed us if they could!"
Press Release -March 08

When Terry Clark and his wife heard noises early one evening in front of their bungalow, just up the road from their Clarks Car Breakers business in Grantham, Lincs, they naturally went to investigate. Terry still wishes they hadn't.as they immediately came across thieves in the act of driving one of the company's Iveco slidebed trucks being driven away straight through the business's brand new eight-foot high gates!

Wife Susan had to jump for her life!
So desperate were the thieves to get away on seeing Terry, that they drove the truck straight at his wife, Susan, who had to jump for her life. "They were so desperate I don't think they'd have cared if they'd hit her," says Terry. "Perhaps I should have thought more about that at the time but I was so incensed with what they'd done that I climbed into my Range Rover (even though I was in my pyjamas and slippers!). I then managed to chase them all the way to the A1 and beyond, almost as far as Melton Mowbray.about four miles in all.where I finally caught up with them."

Rammed three times, but missed 30ft drop into canal!
"They stopped on a narrow bridge in front of me then reversed straight into me as fast as they could. They then drove forward and did it again.three times altogether.knocking the Range Rover backwards, causing £7,000-worth of damage and putting me in hospital! I'm sure they would have carried on, and even killed me, particularly if they'd managed to knock me off the road a little further along where there's a 30-foot drop straight into the canal," says Terry. "The next thing I knew was that they were driving away, probably because they'd heard the sirens as someone had called the police, who went off in pursuit. The police didn't catch them though, much to my dismay as they are still out there somewhere."

Still recovering from injuries
"This all happened last October and six months on Terry is still recovering from his injuries (with frequent hospital visits) and the stress the whole incident has caused. "I still wake up in the night thinking how much worse it could have been!" says Terry. "Even so, I'd do it again," he says, defiantly! "The police eventually found Terry's recovery truck but it was a complete write off, so then he had to find a suitable replacement.and quickly. "Terry adds. "We're only a small family business - there are five of us altogether including my wife and son - so we needed a replacement truck as soon as possible to keep going. Fortunately a local car repairer I know recommended Recovery World.a recommendation that could not have been better placed in the circumstances," says Terry.

Recovery World to the rescue
"Recovery World's Mac Engledew went to a great deal of time and trouble to make sure I got the precise vehicle I wanted to replace the one I'd lost. He personally showed me or took me to see all the vehicles I was interested in, including one in London which Mac had delivered to Hatfield for me, saving me all the hassle and stress of a trip which I would have found very hard to handle at that time.

Thanks to Mac and Recovery World I've been able to buy a very well-equipped replacement truck, for a very good price. Needless to say I'm absolutely delighted and it's all down to Recovery World. They really do 'go the extra mile' for their customers."

Youngs rely on Recovery World to smooth path to retirement
Press Release - February 08

After over 30 years in the recovery industry, operating a six-truck fleet in Ambleside, Cumbria, retirement is becoming an extremely tempting prospect for husband and wife team Robin and Jan Young. So far they’ve only managed to make it as far as semi-retirement, however, as they are still running their service station and MOT centre, although they’re winding down the recovery side of the business.

“It’s not as profitable these days,” says Robin Young, “mainly because it’s becoming much more demanding as far as understanding and implementing all the new regulations goes. We’ve kept three vehicles, serving mostly private customers, but decided to sell the other three. We’d heard of Recovery World and their reputation for really good service so we decided to give them a go. We definitely made the right decision…we couldn’t believe how smoothly everything went once we’d contacted them. It only took one phone call to Paul Allitt (Recovery World’s North of England representative).”

“Paul came round straightaway, inspected the vehicles and took photographs and other details. We discussed and agreed the prices there and then. Paul really knows his stuff and both Jan (Robin’s wife and business partner) and I thought he came up with a very realistic idea of how much we could expect to get for them,” said Robin. “We found Paul and the Recovery World team really honest and straightforward to deal with…very refreshing after some of the things we’ve come across over the years!

Paul also kept us fully informed of progress throughout the entire sales process right up to handing over the proceeds of the sale,” Robin added. “Thanks to Recovery World we’ve been able to make a really smooth, hassle-free start to planning for our retirement. We’ll undoubtedly be involving Recovery World again when we decide to wind down the business even further.”

Robin and Jan Young can be contacted on 01539 432322.

RW60 unit ‘absolutely faultless’ two years on
Press Release - September 07

‘Absolutely faultless’ is how Ian Mathews of Lynwood Garage describes their RW60 slidebed accident unit, built for Lynwood Garage, Aberyststwyth, by Recovery World more than two years ago. Right from new it has proved to be by far the best vehicle Lynwood has ever had in terms of build quality and reliability.

“We’re absolutely delighted with it,” says Lynwood’s Ian Mathews. “We do a great deal of work for the Police, the AA, RAC and other recovery and rescue organisations all over Mid-Wales. This places great demands on vehicles, but after two years of hard work and daily punishment the RW60 doesn’t have a single rivet or bolt out of place or even loose. Every single item continues to work perfectly,” says Ian. “And there’s not even a hint of rust anywhere, another indication of just how well Recovery World have put this unit together and the quality of the materials they’ve used,” Ian adds. “Other operators in the area have also commented on the build quality and how impressed they are with it.”

The RW60 slidebed, which has a crane and second car lift, is the second vehicle Lynwood have acquired from Recovery World (the first was a second-hand unit supplied via the Recovery World brokering service), and it certainly won’t be the last!

“When you have a unit like the RW60 that you know will work day in and day out, making a real contribution to the success of your business while costing you next to nothing in terms of maintenance, then of course you want to repeat the success!” says Ian. “That’s why we already have the wheels in motion with Recovery World for another new-build unit, likely to be an RW40, which we hope to take delivery of before Christmas.”

Recovery World new build comes with built in quality and service!
Press Release - Aug 07

Salvage specialists HBC are just one of the many recovery and salvage companies who trust Recovery World to supply their new build vehicles.

HBC, with its headquarters in Canvey Island, Essex, and branches all around the country, is one of the UK’s premier salvage specialists, collecting and storing total loss vehicles. (The company is quick to point out that they are not vehicle breakers and they don’t sell parts!).

“In our business we work our vehicles really hard…they have to be totally reliable 24/7,” says HBC Transport Manager Paul Lowe. “We recently bought a RW 35 recovery vehicle from Recovery World and they very much impressed us with the quality of build and the standard of service they provided. They dealt with the whole process, taking all the work and the worry off our hands,” says Paul. “Recovery World have already proved themselves to be better than other similar companies we have dealt with in the past.”

Recovery World’s RWF 35 and RW 25 new build recovery vehicles, already in great demand, are now becoming even more popular, as as result of the way the law on tachographs and driving licences currently stands. This means that…

• The RWF 35 and RW 25 are not subject to tacho restrictions which apply to larger vehicles.
• They can be driven by anyone with a car licence.

There are actually two new build options available from Recovery World which satisfy these two criteria - the RWF 35 3.5 tonne beavertail and the RW 25 slidebed, ideal for those who do not want to have to pull out ramps.

RWF 35 and RW 25 are just part of a much wider Recovery World new build range, including the RW Twin Deck and the RW40, 60 and 80 ranges which between them offer a complete complement of vehicles to suit every operator’s needs.

Paul Allitt joins Recovery World drive for expansion
Press Release - July 07

Latest addition to the Recovery World’s brokering team is highly experienced recovery professional Paul Allitt. As National Sales Manager, working alongside Mac Engledew, Paul has particular responsibility for the North of England and Wales.

Paul’s qualifications for the job are impressive. His father owned a garage in North Wales which was run as a family business. “The garage had a recovery operation,” says Paul, “and my Dad recently reminded me that I was actually going out with him on police calls when I was only six!” “On the day I passed my driving test Dad’s first words were ‘good, ‘cos you’re on call!’

After training as an apprentice and becoming a fully qualified Technician within his father’s business Paul decided to ‘fly the nest’ after eight years to work in different garages in the area, “Every garage I worked for had a recovery operation…well, even if they didn’t when I started I made sure they did eventually! So I’ve been involved with recovery in some way or other for as long as I can remember,” says Paul. “I finally decided to go into it full time, working for a recovery firm in Chester for a total of 11 years, six of which were spent as Operations Manager.”

“Being so involved with the recovery industry I was very much aware of Recovery World long before I stared working for them,” Paul points out. “I was impressed with their long-standing reputation for good service and the totally professional approach they take to everything they get involved with. So when the opportunity to join them came up it very much seemed like the right move to make.” When he’s not working for recovery World Paul, who lives with his partner and her two daughters, lists his interests as cars and watching rugby (he’s a Welshman, after all!).

Lynn Engledew of Recovery World adds, “With the expansion of our business into other commercial sectors we need to be able to maintain our standards of service, support and advice at the very highest level. By employing experienced industry professionals such as Paul our customers can be certain that this will be the case.”

“It’s vital to have a broker we can totally rely on!”
Press Release - May 05

So says Darron Mitchell of Mitchell’s Motors, talking about the excellent relationship his company enjoys with commercial vehicle brokers, Recovery World. “Every time we want to buy or sell a vehicle we use Recovery World, simply because they offer very good service, their knowledge of the industry is excellent and they also have very good contacts,” Darron points out. “Recovery World do what they say they’re going to do and they do it very successfully. They take all the work and the worry off your hands.”

“We totally rely on Recovery World to handle everything on our behalf, including the photography and paperwork. They also make sure that your sale or purchase goes through quickly, at the right price and with the minimum of hassle,” says Darron. “This leaves us completely free to do what we’re best at…running our recovery business, rather than wasting time dealing with potential buyers or sellers, and the rest!”

Mitchell’s Motors, based in Haverhill, Suffolk, has been operating successfully for more than 13 years and in that time has built up an excellent reputation for its recovery and garage services. Mitchell’s is contracted to all the major motoring organisations including the AA, RAC, Green Flag and Mondial.

“In the past few years Recovery World have sold three recovery vehicles and bought six more on our behalf,” says Darron. “With Recovery World you can be certain that these vehicles will be in first class condition, vital in a business like ours. We simply can’t afford to have something that’s not going to be 100% reliable, especially with customers like the AA and RAC.”

Recovery World does it both ways for D & G
Press Release - May 05

“We do a lot of recovery work for Kent and Essex police, as well as the Met, the RAC and a number of other nationally known names. We have a fleet of around 100 vehicles and many of them are often out on the roads 24 hours a day, so any vehicles we buy must be in first class condition…we simply can’t afford to have something that’s not going to be 100% reliable,” says Mike Gibson, Fleet Manager of D & G Cars. “Some of our vehicles are new but many more of them are pre-owned, and it’s essential they come through a source we can trust to give us exactly what we want. That’s one of a number of reasons why we now buy, and sell, our used vehicles exclusively through Recovery World ” says Mike. “Most recently we bought a 71/2  tonne DAF ‘Streetlifter’ through them - now out there really earning its keep! – while we also successfully sold a 5-car transporter and a 71/2  tonne Isuzu slide bed with the help of Recovery World earlier in March.”

“Why do we do it all through Recovery World? Their service is comprehensive, they do what they say they’re going to do and they do it very successfully. They take all the work and the worry off your hands, too. As long as that’s the case then we’ll certainly stick with them,” Mike adds.

RRS Recovery recovers recovery vehicle thanks to industry help
Press Release - March 07

RRS Recovery only bought their new Mercedes 814 tri-loader when they started their business in December 2006. So imagine their horror when it was stolen early in the new year! They were already starting to get recovery contracts and suddenly found themselves with no way of fulfilling them.

Fortunately for RRS Recovery, which has its home in North Duffield between Goole and York, the close-knit community of the recovery industry immediately came to the rescue! Recovery World, the nationally-known recovery vehicle brokers, publicised details of the stolen vehicle on their website free of charge, for example. Many vehicle recovery operators also kept a look out for what RRS Director, Rob Fentiman, described as “a distinctively branded vehicle that would be very hard to miss and even more difficult to dispose of once word went round the industry. And the word went round very quickly indeed,” said Rob, “simply because everyone visits the Recovery World website pretty regularly, and so many people in the industry seem to know each other. As a result the police found our vehicle in just three days! Unfortunately there was some damage to the truck but it’s now been repaired and we’re back on the road and in business once again.”

“We’d really like to thank the police for their efficiency, and Recovery World and all the other people who helped us,” said Rob. “It’s really good to know that we’re working in an industry where people are so ready to support each other when things go wrong.”

DT Recovery find Scania through Recovery World
Press Release - Professional Recovery, October 2006

The rapidly growing D T Recovery, based in Kent, recently took delivery of a Scania purchased through Recovery Worlds brokering service. Paul Hards & Richard Caplin started DT two years ago, having both come from recovery backgrounds. "We are delighted at the rate in which our company has grown since we started. We have secured a huge amount of European as well as nationwide recovery work. We are also delighted to have Recovery World helping us with the acquisition of the new fleet. We have already bought a couple of vehicles from them & they are at present trying to find us another suitable heavy."

The Long Awaited Recovery World Website Is Launched!

Press Release - Professional Recovery, March 2006

Recovery World aim to have a completely fresh website every couple of years or so but this, their third in-house creation, has been the most difficult to launch due to pressures of time as the business of selling vehicles has grown beyond they’re greatest expectation. A year in the making for the latest site has been a hard slog but they’re proud of their finished work.

The new site offers many of the old features such as the vehicle & equipment sales for their brokered vehicles & outside advertisers, businesses for sale, the free UK Directory of operators.

In addition the new site boasts a great new vehicle search facility, which will trawl through the data base of an average of 150 vehicles, for the info you require. There is also a comprehensive section on their new builds (both custom built & ready to roll). The traffic law section, kindly supported by Hughes Guides Ltd, will provide an invaluable tool to anyone wanting to clarify recovery traffic law. Users can visit the updated forum, launched last year, and discuss the finer points of all things recovery.

Another couple of additions are in the classifieds, in the form of Career Opportunities & Recovery Equipment sales. For the foreseeable future advertising in these areas is going to be free of charge to any that wish to take it up, to help get the new service off & running.

The site receives an average of 35,000 visits a month at present & has the largest amount of recovery vehicles for sale in Europe which is pretty good going for a company that only started 5 years ago!

As Recovery World is aware their site is a big part of many operators daily lives so they are keen to make sure things are right. A competition, to win a free Tow Truck Mart advert, is being run to encourage as much constructive criticism as possible. After all, if visitors are not happy with any aspect of the site Recovery World want to know about it!

Recovery World had dealt with our sales & acquisitions on second hand vehicles for some time now. We were so pleased with the build & aftercare of our previous new slidebed we bought from them, we decided to go with them for the rest of the fleet. The RWS2000 has been designed with a longer reach & better capacity to cope with the longer wheelbase vehicles that are becoming more & more popular on the roads these days. The lockers have been treated with electro zinc coated steel to reduce rust, keeping the vehicle looking nicer for longer."

Another Recovery World New Build For Atlas Recovery
Press Release - Professional Recovery, May 2005

Atlas Recovery in North West London, recently took delivery of their new Isuzu de-luxe twin deck from Recovery World. Atlas proprietor Jerry Fenson said "I'd had a look around at what was available on the market. When I spoke to Mac at Recovery World he explained they were just about to launch their new de-luxe twin deck. Mac promised I wouldn't be disappointed with it, so I agreed to have one & left the rest in Mac's capable hands.

There were a number of reasons for ordering a new twin deck, I had a couple of new contracts to prepare for, also dealers aren't happy at seeing their vehicles being spec lifted, and of course the economical savings of being able to move two vehicles at the same time.

I'm very pleased with the new vehicle, it looks good & is eye catching with features like the repeater lamps mounted under the rear underside of the top deck which when in raised position are clearly visible from behind. It has been nicely finished off & I'm very happy with the build quality."

This is the fourth new build Jerry has bought from Recovery World.

Is this some kind of record?

The Transit spec lift was added to towtruckmart.co.uk on the Wednesday afternoon, by the close of business Thursday a deal was done. Nigel said "I couldn't believe the response, I had 18 calls in one day. The buyer had been checking the website everyday looking for the right vehicle, as soon as mine had been added he contacted me. I had to call Recovery World first thing Friday morning to inform them of the sale as I was getting fed up of telling callers the vehicle had sold."Lynn at Recovery World said "I know the site gets over 20,000 visits a month & if a vehicle is priced right which Nigel's obviously was, it will sell pretty quickly."

Langley Vale Recovery take delivery of Accident Unit from Recovery World
Press Release - Professional Recovery, September 2004

Due to the increase in RTA work, Langley Vale Recovery Services in Epsom, found themselves in urgent need of an additional Accident Unit to cope. They contacted Mac Engledew at Recovery World, who didn't have an appropriate vehicle on the books at the time, but soon managed to find one.

David Hunt at Langley Vale said "Yet again Mac came up trumps for us. As the we were so busy & the vehicle he found for us was up north, we didn't bother to view it before buying, Mac had given us a very good description of what to expect the truck condition to be, plus we know with Mac's honest reputation & extent of his knowledge, we couldn't really go wrong! Yet again Recovery World were as helpful as they could possibly be."

Mac Engledew said it wasn't the first vehicle Recovery World had sold without the buyer having seen it. "It usually happens with buyers from Scotland & Ireland because of the distances involved".

Press Release - Professional Recovery, September 2004

Where & how would you start to attempt to sell your recovery operation? Well there's a new service in our industry doing just that! In response to suggestions from the company's customers, Recovery World has added a new service to its website for operators who want to sell their businesses. "We've had customers asking where they can sell their companies," says Recovery World's Lynn Engledew, "and it's also a subject which comes up from time to time in the Chat section on the extras area on our website. "

"We are ideally placed for this new service as our site is probably the most visited in the trade, receiving over 20,000 visitors a month. So we've decided to add the sale of recovery businesses to the services we currently offer through both Recovery World and Tow Truck Mart. We're always willing to try something new, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, you'll never know if you don't try!" Said Lynn.

Press Release - Professional Recovery, January 2004

Recovery world were delighted to hand over two of their RW35 slidebeds fitted to MAN chassis to Atlas Recovery this month. Both vehicles were fitted with the second car lift on one second hand & one new chassis. Atlas proprieter, Jerry Fenson said "Since Recovery World started I have bought & sold all my second hand vehicles through them. I was due to purchase another second hand vehicle but was so impressed with the RW35 on the Daewoo chassis, when I saw it launched at the Tow Show last year. I hadn't realised a new vehicle with high quality secification could be bought at such an excellent price, so decided to go for a new vehicle rather than a second hand one. I supplied the second hand chassis, Mac at Recovery World supplied the new one & did the rest. It was great to leave the whole build to them without being involved."
